Programma voor Toetsing en Afsluiting

Each subject has a so-called Program for Testing and Completion (PTA). The PTA is a document that lists all the tests for Year 3 and Year 4. This means that at the start of Year 3, it is already clear which tests students must take until their final exams in Year 4.

Students are required to take all the tests listed in the PTA. The scores from these tests are part of their school exam grade (SE).

Central Exam (CE)

In Year 4, all VMBO students take the central exam. The exam period starts in May. The exam tests for VMBO-b and VMBO-k are taken digitally. Students taking exams at the VMBO-t level take their exams on paper.

Central Written and Practical Exam (CSPE)

Students following the VMBO-b and VMBO-k pathways take a practical exam (CSPE) in addition to the tests of the CE. The CSPE is part of their profile subject (Economics & Business or Health & Welfare). Nuenens College conducts these practical exams just before the May holidays.
