Welcome to Nuenens College, a small-scale vmbo school where we believe in the power of collaboration for individual growth and development. At our school, students, parents, and the school form a close-knit community that is aware of its role in society. We embrace a culture where learning from each other, making choices, and growing through mistakes are central. We achieve this by maintaining positive communication with each other.
We aim to prepare all our students, regardless of their talents or background, for further education and society as best as we can. We do this by offering lessons at all levels of vmbo:
- Basic Vocational Pathway (vmbo-b)
- Intermediate Vocational Pathway (vmbo-k)
- Theoretical Pathway (vmbo-t)

Of course, not everyone is the same. At Nuenens College, we understand that very well. That’s why, at Nuenens College, you choose a route in your first year that matches your talents and interests. You can choose from the lower secondary routes: Green, Sports, Arts, or Discover.

A day at nuenens college
"Good morning Bram, you look sharp today! Are you ready?" My father knows what I will be doing at school today. I told him during our conversation with my mentor. Enthusiastically, I talk to my dad about the various projects happening at the school.
This morning, I have a task at our pop-up store. I was elected by my class to be the manager of our own store in the center of Nuenen. It’s a role with a lot of responsibility. At first, I found it really exciting. But my classmates and teachers had so much confidence in me that I started believing I could do it too. Luckily, it’s going very well! It’s awesome that they believe in me, and that I can gain experience for the next stage of my education.
